An evening of the ONAV Verona course at our winery
On Monday 2 November our winery turned into a classroom. We hosted an evening of the level one course for aspiring wine tasters organised by ONAV Verona, the Verona branch of the Italian National Organisation of Wine Tasters.
For anyone learning to taste, leaving the classroom and sitting down in the place where wine is made changes the perspective. Among glasses, tasting sheets and notes, the participants were able to connect what they find in the glass with the choices made in the vineyard and in the cellar.
For us, it was a chance to share our work with curious, attentive people who want to understand wine more deeply. We have been making wine in Villafranca di Verona since 1960, among the morainic hills between Custoza and Lake Garda, and opening our doors to those training in wine tasting is part of how we see this craft.
